Shelter & TNR Services
Community Cat Clinic is founded on the principle of actively participating in the local community. We understand the significance of collaborating with shelters and individuals who share our vision of creating safe and welcoming neighborhoods for cats. That’s why we created special service packages for shelters to help spay/neuter cats before adoption as well as to offer ongoing care for cats living in the community. We also host TNR clinics where anyone can bring feral and outdoor cats to be fixed and vaccinated.
We encourage shelter managers, community cat coordinators, and individuals involved in trap-neuter-return (TNR) projects, whether small-scale or large, to contact us so we may introduce ourselves and make sure we are offering the services your cats need
Why Should I Fix My Cat? The Benefits are Surprising!
Spaying or neutering your cat is a vital procedure that will improve your kitty’s life – as well as yours! The physical and behavioral benefits are more powerful than you know! The benefit of neutering a cat? Fewer kittens being born and fewer parental worries for you.
Trapper Tips and Tricks
Drawing from over 20 years of experience working with feral cats, the folks at Neighborhood Cats have gathered together their favorite ways of catching the wiliest of felines. Whether it’s putting in a clear rear door, using Spam as bait, wrapping your trap with green garden netting or training a cat to enter a trap, you’re bound to learn something new that will improve your trapping success.
7 Steps of TNR
You’ve made the decision – you’re going to get the feral cats in your life fixed! Now what? Often people reach for the first trap they can find, but that’s a mistake. Doing a TNR project well requires planning and preparation.
Doing Right By Outdoor Cats
“I’m seeing this new cat around, and I don’t know if he’s lost or if he belongs to someone. I want him to be OK, but I’m not sure what to do.”
This wouldn’t be an unusual comment from someone not involved in animal rescue. In this case, though, it came from a coworker of mine who has spent more than a decade working at Best Friends.
